Mars Move-In, explained
Short, honest answers about claiming a plot on Mars: what it costs, how takeovers work, and what you actually get.
Understand Mars Move-In
What it is, who it's for, and how the real-Mars parts work.
Mars Move-In is an interactive digital colony built on real Martian coordinates, where people and brands claim a plot, build a habitat and get their own Mars address.
Brands, creators, startups and space fans who want a fun, visible spot in a digital colony on real Mars coordinates, and the bragging rights that come with it.
A cheap, memorable, shareable presence on a live Mars map, with real-time arrivals, rankings and a game that gives people a reason to come back.
Colonies sit at real Martian coordinates; day, night and shadows follow local Mars time, and the globe turns at Mars's real rate.
Claim and manage a habitat
Prices, takeovers, credits, habitat types and what you get.
From choosing a plot to your habitat landing on the map: sign-in, design, payment, confirmation and what happens after.
Plots cost $5 on the outer ring and up to about $28 next to the landing pad. Takeovers cost 1.25× a habitat's value. One-time payments, no subscription.
Anyone can take over a habitat for 1.25× its value. The previous owner gets Oxygen Credits, and contested plots unlock bigger buildings.
Oxygen Credits are what you receive when your habitat is taken over. They pay for your next plot and have no cash value.
Thirteen habitat types in four classes. First claims are low-rise; takeovers unlock bigger buildings, and tall ones are limited to about 20 per colony.
Founding Habitats are seeded buildings spread across the first colony. Their first real owner pays a flat $5 and makes them their own.
A plot is the right to show your habitat, logo, name, link and address at that spot on the map while you hold it and the service runs.
